5. WHAT IS THE STAR ECO STATION?
The STAR ECO Station is a 501(c)(3) non-profit environmental science museum and exotic wildlife rescue center founded by Erick Bozzi, Katya Bozzi, and their children, Erick Jr. and Katiana Bozzi, dedicated to “Preservation Through Education”. We serve as a venue that connects visitors with projects and activities to become part of the change, creating a new breed of environmental heroes! The STAR ECO Station offers the most innovative, interactive and inspiring environmental science education programs for our students and the community, as well as educational outreach programs in over 42 California school districts. In collaboration with environmental and government agencies, the STAR ECO Station provides rescue and rehabilitation for illegal, abandoned or abused exotic wildlife at our 18,000 square-foot facility in Culver City, California. Through interactive tours, assemblies, classroom instruction, field trips and
superb community events, the STAR ECO Station annually serves over
one million learners of all ages!

12. TOURS
Rescued education encounters, visitors experience interactive lessons of ecology and environmentalism on a wild and unforgettable encounter with rescued tropical birds, exotic reptiles, wild cats and ocean life in a tropical jungle setting.
13. Guided Tours open to the public
Tours of the STAR ECO Station begin every half hour. Please visit our website at www.ecostation.org for summer and holiday hours. Please note: Hours & prices are subject to change without notice.
14. Field trips
“Too Much Curriculum” and not enough time? A field trip to the STAR ECO Station engages students and fulfills California State Science Standards. A two-hour guided tour includes exciting hands-on experiences with our exotic rescued wildlife. Grade-appropriate lessons also cover many other subjects including ecology, social studies, art, economics and the responsibilities of pet ownership. Students leave equipped with the knowledge to help protect their environment and wildlife.
15. INTERNSHIPS
The STAR ECO Station, offers hands-on internships and extension courses in the environmental sciences. Students have the opportunity to work directly with STAR ECO Station staff to learn about exotic animal anatomy and physiology, exotic wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, and exotic animal handling. 16. ECO CAMPS-Summer, Winter, Spring & day Camps Too!
At our summer, spring and winter ECO Camps, children have the opportunity to become part of the STAR ECO Station’s World-Famous Exotic Wildlife Rescue Team! Every day is an adventure with our wild jungle cats, tropical birds, exotic snakes and crazy crocs, and every lesson brings a unique opportunity to explore important environmental issues. 17. Assemblies, class visits, weekly enrichment classes, & Mobile Museums!
Release the wild into your program! We bring exotic rescued wildlife and exciting new curricula to your students through interactive and entertaining assemblies (41-300 students), classroom presentations (up to 40 students) and weekly enrichment classes (8-10 week sessions available). All programs are aligned to California State Science Standards.

STAR ECO Station is a division of STAR, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
STAR, Inc. (Science·Theater·Art·Recreation) has been successfully improving the quality of children’s education since 1986. Our mission is to provide innovative, quality extended education, recreation and enrichment programs to support and enhance school curriculum, boost student achievement and expand the cultural base of young people. STAR offers award-winning programs, academic lessons, after-school education, enrichment classes, field trips, assemblies, camps, community events, social services and educational outreach programs targeting at-risk Title 1 (low income) students. In a format designed to Excite, Inspire, and Educate, STAR has a consistent record of significantly raising test scores, improving academic achievement, enhancing self-confidence and fostering a life-long enthusiasm for learning. Our unique on campus after-school enrichment programs broaden the amenities that local public schools offer their communities, making schools a one-stop place for families who want to give their children the most effective education. Over 42 school districts in California choose STAR to provide a wide range of vital educational services on their school sites.
